Associate Lecturer in Interactive Media. Alessandro is interested in the intersection and clashing of different media practices and aesthetics.

Dr Anna Bramwell-Dicks

Lecturer in Web Development and Interactive Media. Anna is interested in the multimodal interaction - particularly using sound and music to communicate information or to change behaviour or emotions.

Dr Jonathan Hook

Lecturer and Programme Leader in Interactive Media. His research is situated in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and explores the design and development of novel interactive technologies for creative settings and practices.

Dr Nick Jones

Lecturer in Film, Television and Digital Culture. Nick is principally interested in the manner in which moving image media represent (or produce) space and how the nature of these representations changes over time and through the use of different technologies.

Dr Ben Kirman

Lecturer in Interactive Media. His research interests are around design for unusual interactive experiences. Ben collaborates widely with scholars from computer science, psychology, human-computer interaction and the arts.

Dr Debbie Maxwell

Lecturer in Interactive Media. Her research focuses on the roles of active storytelling and engagement in digital contexts. Debbie is interested in the ways that people interact with and reshape technology through stories, as both method and artefacts, and across media.

Dr Jenna Ng

Senior Lecturer in Film and Interactive Media, primarily focused on theoretical, cultural and critical analyses intersecting digital and visual culture, with particular interests in digital imaging, screen cultures and interactive storytelling.

Heather Niven is now a self employed business and innovation consultant after 12 years working for Science City York. Her passion is creativity and innovation and she also teaches Business, Legal and Professional Issues as an Associate Lecturer at the University of York.
